8thsin, the new project from black-metal midget It (War, Vondur, Abruptum, Opthtalamia), has signed with Black Lodge Records. The label's comments:
8thsin is far from It's earlier projects as both the image and music have changed dramatically. Only the power remains. Today the music is hard to label, but basically 8thsin is about traditional hard rock with elements from thrash metal and electronic music. Something you have probably never heard before.

I added a new mp3 from a Danish demo band I've been really getting into recently called The First Miles. They're kinda country, kinda indierock, but all good as far as I'm concerned. Check 'em out and if you like what you hear, there's plenty more on their website. Right now the band is planning to enter the studio sometime around july/August and a record deal is pending.
Hell on Wheels will release their most recent album "Oh my god! What have I done?" in japan on july 21 via Snow man/Wood records. They'll also be flying over there to play Shibuya O-Nest in Tokyo on September 9.

Peter, Bjorn & john are now the album of the month. I've been a big fan of these guys ever since I've first heard 'em and the new EP is fantastic. Great songs, great playing and even a great recording. Always good to hear a band use the studio in interesting ways. Be sure to check out the mp3 on the right as well. Can't wait for the full-length from Planekonomi this fall.
