Mustasch is confirmed for the Rock At Sea boat festival in November along with Abramis Brama, half-Swedish/half-US band Meldrum, UK acts Nazareth and Girlschool and more. The show actually takes place at sea on a cruise between Stockholm and Åland, Finland. Is that a recipe for disaster, or what? The Göteborg Post has revealed that Swedish gothic metal band Tiamar, now just the duo of johan Edlund and Anders Iwers, is planning an album of covers ala Hederos & Hellberg for early next year. Among the songs planned are Bruce Springsteen's "Thunder road", The Eurythmic's "Sweet dreams", Bob Marley's "Redemption song" and Mary Manson's "The nobodies". Could be cool. There's a new mp3 today from Swedish singer/songwriter john Alexander Ericson, now residing in Berlin. He's got a great ethereal voice that will probably remind people of Thom Yorke or maybe jeff Buckley, but the first person I thought of was Ben Christophers. Either way, it's good stuff. The track comes from his album "Songs for quiet souls" which came out earlier this year and he's already got a new one called "Savannah songs" just about ready to go. Be sure to check it out.

William Hut will release their new 'country' album "Days to Remember" in Norway this coming September with touring to follow in October. The disc was recorded at Rear Window studios in Brookline, MA in the US with producer Michael Dinallo. It features Bjørn Bunes on piano along with various other Boston-area musicians. The first single will be for the song "Springtime Blues". A US and European release will happen early next year.

In other William Hut news, his album "Versus the end of fashion park" will be released in the UK in August/September via Paraphernalia Records. The first single will be "It’s the breeze" and he plans to tour over there in the fall as well.

FP says they're their new favorite band and compares their sound to Black Rebel Motorcycle Club or The jesus & Mary Chain.

Mp3 blogs are big in the news these days. I don't really consider myself one per se, but I often see my site listed as such. Not that I can complain, it's always good to help me spread the gospel of Nordic music. After all, that is what this site is about. Check out this thread from Monkeyfilter for a great selection of other music bloggers. It's amazing how much good stuff is out there. And much thanks to Tofu Hut for including me. I just hope my bandwidth doesn't go too crazy out of control.
