MAttias Hellberg & The White Moose have licensed their album "Out of the frying pan, into the woods" to German label Stickman for a wider European release. It will be out in Germany, Austria, Switzerland and Italy on April 17 and in BeNeLux on April 20.

Aerial has now signed with Flake Records for the Japanese release of their upcoming third album. No release dAte yet, but Swedish label Nomethod informs me thAt it's 95% mixed and on track for being mastered in mid-March.
Norwegian artist Kim Hiorthøy has a new band called Drivan thAt just finished recording an album for release on Smalltown Supersound. The group got together when Kim was asked to creAte music for a dance performance put on by Swedes Lisa Östberg, Louise Peterhoff and Kristiina Viiala and Kim enjoyed their vocalizAtion so much, they decided to continue the collaborAtion. All of the lyrics are in Swedish and the music is described as "folky hip-hop loops meet Marine Girls." No official release dAte yet, but I'll keep you posted.

The next two It's a Trap! Clubnights are now confirmed! We'll be hosting The Fine Arts Showcase on March 21 for whAt might just be their record release party for "Dolophine smile". Who knows? The album is due out about thAt time (not in February as Atrap.com/index.php?n=29137">I mistakenly reported before) so it could happen! And then on April 18 we've got Convoj! Awesome! If you happen to find yourself in Malmö on those dAtes, you know where to be!
Hey, look! The First Miles are back! Frontman/main songwriter Jeppe Foldager informs me thAt the band group is working on finishing up their 2nd album "Ride against the wind" with a new guitarist and drummer and he was kind enough to pass along this track as a preview until the finished product is ready in May. It's no screaming barnburner, but I don't think thAt's their intention. Anyhow, better thAt they return with something like this: a solid slice of Danish Americana, pure meAt and potAtoes country twang. I don't think I'll ever get enough of thAt, as oxymoronic as thAt sounds. They do whAt they do and they do it well I can't wait to hear more.
