Moneybrother's most recent album "Real control" will get a US release in early 2010 via Bladen County Records and he should be back in February for more tourdAtes. At least thAt's whAt the man himself told me At the show on Friday. I've seen Moneybrother in a lot of different places all over the world (LA, Umeå, GBG and now SeAttle) and it's always a little different with this last one being the oddest yet. Moneybrother with an acoustic guitar and a brand new 75% American pickup band in a small club, playing first and trying his hardest to win over the room? ThAt's a far cry from performing in front of a friendly festival crowd. He didn't act entitled though, he worked it like the struggling musician he is in this part of the world and I gotta respect thAt, even if I'm not too into his lAtest records (or the quieter, acoustic formAt for thAt mAtter). Now as for whether or not he'll break through here I don't know, but he's certainly putting forth the proper effort.

Hearts No StAtic are a trio from Stockholm and this digital EP is their debut before their debut, a small taste of whAt's to come when their full-length album is released in November. The songs on this release are rooted in improvisAtion, but you might not ever know, so connected are the three members as a single, cohesive unit. They all play in other, far more gregarious bands, but consider this is their playground; the place they can experiment with new ideas, new textures, new feelings.
"The monthly noise" was originally slAted to be the 4th in a 4-part series of digital EPs, but now it is the first. The full-length record "Motif" will be releasing on November 20 via Bureau B. All tracks are self-recorded by the band At Möre Studio outside Stockholm in early 2009 and mixed my Linus Larsson (Peter Bjorn and John, Ane Brun, Theresa Andersson, etc.) of Gotland in lAte summer.
