Wolverine has finished rerecording their new album "Cold Light Of Monday" for a tentative September/October release on Elitist Records. The original tapes of the recording were rendered unusable thanks to "a serious number of mistakes and blunders made by the original sound engineer," hence the complete reworking. They promise that the difference between the two versions is "enourmous" and the new one sounds "so much bigger" and "light-years better than it was before." View the cover art here.

The NRK radio program Norgesglasset recently did a feature on the legendary A-Ha video "Take On Me". Read about it in English here or check out the article in Norweigan here.

Duplicate Records, the label of Einar from the excellent band Beyond Dawn (whose new album "Frysh" is highly recommended), sends word that they'll be putting out a new 7" from Bomberos (feat. Maniac from Mayhem on vox) shortly along with a Beyond Dawn remix album featuring artists such as Bjørn Svin, Eva Casal, Origami Galaktika and Trulz&Robin. The label also plan to team up with US-based Vendlus Records on some future releases such as the debut CD from Especially Like Sloth. Look for a new site soon, too: www.duplicate-records.com

QGMR recently spent some time at Studio Gröndahl under the watchful eye of engineer Björn Hansell to record some music for an upcoming animated short film called "Tecken Till Varandra" by "Quiet is Not Loud" cover designer ZÜT. Björn Yttling of Peter, Björn and John helped out with some drums stuff and they also managed to track a few other tunes while they had the time. No word yet on where those will see release, though.

Via thearkworld.com, comes this video of the band playing "Calleth You, Cometh I" live in Stockholm. Here's some recent pictures of the band, too.

Misconduct is working with Side by Side Records' Marielle Carlsson on a video for the track, uh, "Side by Side". It'll be done sometime in September and will feature footage shot from various summer festivals the band performed at.

Here's the list of this year's Kerrang award nominees. Kinda makes it hard to believe they used to be a metal mag, don't it? Anyhow, the list of names goes from mediocre to bad to worse with HIM's "Love Metal" being the only Scandinavian representation falling under the "Best Album" category. Um, yeah.

Here's an e-card for Fattaru and their new single "Bättre" from "Jordnära", out September 10 on Virgin.

Lene Nystrøm is certainly not one to shy away from controversy. Read this short piece from NRK about her most recent escapade involving tossing whiskey in some guy's face. (in Norweigan)

TV-star Josefine Sundström is making a go at the music biz and working on an album, or so says Aftonbladet (by way of the Metro).

Mando Diao reports that their shows in Japan have been going great and they even had to stop after three songs because of too much pushing up front. However, not all is rosy for the band as someone in their homepage guestbook threatened to station a small squad of baseball bat-armed troops outside their hotel at the Emmaboda festival. Is it retribution or just trying to control who plays the show? Anyhow, the band say they won't cancel, but we'll see what happens.
