Supertanker has posted the details about the new soundtrack for the soundtrack of the new Danish film "2 Ryk Og En Aflevering" ("2 Moves and a Pass"). The record features a whole bunch of different Scandinavian artists, including Håkan Hellström, Tiger Tunes and Kaizers Orchestra along with the first new material from Under Byen since April 2002. Danish indie BirdHitsPlane Records will release it on September 29.
And in other Under Byen news, the band has lined up a gig in Hamburg, Germany on October 11 at Schauspielhaus. There were originally going to be other dates scheduled around this one, but they have been postponed for the time being.
Madrugada's most recent album "Grit" will be getting a UK release later this year via Music for Nations. The UK version will most likely contain some bonus tracks from the bands previous albums. Check out the new cover art here.
Entombed has updated their tour diary with details from their just-completed Scandinavian tour. They also have finalized the website for their label Threeman Recordings. That means you can finally order their albums online, direct from the source.
Opeth has been reportedly offered a chance to be the first ever metal band to perform in Jordan, but nothing has been confirmed yet. Otherwise, the band says they are working on South American dates for November and will be returning to North America in January/February 2004. Details when I get 'em.

Jester Records got themselves a new website up and running. There's still some data missing here and there and no actual new news has been posted yet, but I'll keep you informed.
Kristofer Åström reports that he is working on some demos for a new album and will be entering the studio in November to record the real thing. Look for something to be released early next year.

Frida Snell is releasing a brand new version of her debut album "Black Trillium" for the wider European market under the title "Super Alpha". The CD is said to include various bonus, including the first single "Saturday Night" which was written by Andreas Matsson and Niclas Frisk.
The Pluxus remix album "Reonion" has been confirmed for a September 29 release and, as mentioned before, will feature contributions from Jeans Team, Betamax Crew, Sagor & Swing, Nu Science, Onda Klubben, Andreas Tilliander and Ola Bergman.
Musique Machine has posted a review of "Carheart", the new album from ex-Ved Buens Ende/esoteric metal band Virus.
