There's a new 7" from Betong Hysteria, one of Norway's first hardcore acts, out now via featuring eight previously unreleased tracks recorded back in late 1982. No idea what's up with this ridiculous eBay listing, but it can be picked for a very reasonable price via Tiger.

Combat Rock to release new 7"s from Särkyneet, God Given Ass
has announced that their next release will be a new 7" from female-fronted punk act Särkyneet called "Mitä on olla levoton". Official release date is February 16. After that, they'll be doing another 7" from God Given Ass, a band featuring various long-time scenesters such as ex-Lighthouse Project drummer Niila, and of course, more classic Finnish punk reissues to follow soon thereafter.
Mire Kay is done
Done with their new EP that is, and it sounds great! The name of the new 5-track EP is "Fortress" and it will be released on April 1 via on CD, 10" vinyl and as a digital download. Expect public samples to go online soon.
Bootleg Booze to release Tramp
has announced that they'll be releasing vinyl edition of Tramp's debut full-length "Indigo" this coming April as a 4x7" set with handling the CD and digital. Tramp features Markus Karlsson (ex-The Turpentines), Stefan Brändström (Henry Fiat's Open Sore), Johannes Borgström (ex-Captain Murphy) and Robert Eriksson (ex-The Hellacopters) and can be previewed at myspace: https://www.myspace.com/tramptramp
BCore to reissue Starmarket on vinyl for the first time
Spanish label is reissuing Starmarket's landmark "Five hours light" album on vinyl for the very first time in February, something that I suppose explains the reason the band will be performing said album down there on February 4. As with the folks at BCore, this record is a seminal piece of (Swedish) musical history to me, helping to bridge the gap between hardcore, post-hardcore and indie/noiserock -- it's the reason I discovered Kevlar/KVLR and subsequently took them on tour and put out their self-titled CD, which of course still stands as a crucial step in the evolution of this site. The Crypt to reissue A Canorous Quintet
/ will be reissuing A Canorous Quintet's full discography including their '93 demo "The time of autumn" on vinyl for what I believe will be the very first time. The band's two full-lengths ("Silence of the world beyond" and "The only pure hate") were both originally released on in '96 and '98 respectively with the EP "As tears" preceding both in '95 via .
New Kvoteringen 7" coming soon
Kvoteringen has started to record a few tracks for a new 7" to be released via their own in collaboration with fellow DIY-minded Swedes . No other details revealed yet, but I'll keep you posted.
Monument - Jennifer
Yet another Swedish band with the name Monument? And with a similar goth/post-punk sound to boot. Not that I'm complaining since it's definitely a scene I'm into, but I must admit a slight preference for the more romantic sound of the OGs over the newbs' colder vibes. Still good though, no denying, but maybe they should start thinking about new names. Anyhow, check out the band's debut 7" "Teeth & tails", out now via their own and keep an eye out for another to be released soon once they finish mixing.
