"Empty chairs", the song streaming about, comes off of the album "Elephant & castle", a new musical collaboration between Matti Bye, a Swedish artist known for his soundtrack work, and the prolific analog/keyboard enthusiast Mattias Olsson. Said album "was created in relation to the photographic work of Martina Hoogland Ivanow," whose images provided inspiration for the music during the recording session, fourteen prints of which will also be including in the LP's box along with a phonograph cyclinder. The official release date is April 24 via .
I've given up on doing mailorder at this point (and will probably be doing a clearance at some point soon), but I did recently do a coop buy of Desperat's excellent "Hardcore deluxe" 12" and have a single unclaimed copy left. You want it, it's yours for $32ppd in the US. Or you can wait to buy it on eBay for significantly more, if that's your choice. No doubt this one's gonna be a future bonzer, especially with an already (nearly?) sold-out run of a mere 300 copies. As for those of who wondering why you should care, Desperat is a new Swedish hardcore band with members from Mob 47 playing classic Swedish d-beat punk, just like the title of the song proclaims: "Guaranteed mangle". No need to reinvent the wheel here, just proof that old dudes often rage way harder than their younger counterparts. 'Nuff said.
Imperial State Electric will be releasing a 6-track live mini-album on April 29 called "In concert". It will be released on both CD and 10" vinyl.
Obstacles are working on a new 12" EP for release via in the next couple months. Four songs supposedly showcasing "a new side" of the band, whatever that means. They're also heading over to Russia in mid-April for a string of dates:

has confirmed that the new Sorcery retrospective 3xLP set "Unholy creations" will be released on April 21 and will include all of the band's demos up through 1993, including the never-released "Maculated life" demo, the song "Pandemonium" from the first version of the "Ancient creation" demo, the track "Inhabitants" from off the 1997 VOD compilation and also a rehearsal recording from their early short period as Sorcery's Malediction. Also included in the set will be a 24pg booklet with a full band bio, lyrics and other memoralibilia and the first 100 copies will come in a limited black wooden box with an etched logo and the 2010 demo "Master of the chains" on cassette plus a t-shirt, poster and patch. Not sure when it'll be available for order, but hopefully I'll find out before you do.
