Agonia signs Svartsyn

Agonia Records has signed Swedish black-metal act Svartsyn. The band is currently working on their 6th full-length album "Wrath upon the earth" which they plan to record over the summer.

Jester branches into black-metal

How did I not know about this? Jester Records, the esteemed avant/whatever label run by Kristoffer "Garm" Rygg of Ulver, will be releasing Nidingr's new album "Wolf-father" on June 5, their very first-ever black-metal release. Bad Afro to repress Baby Woodrose on red vinyl

Bad Afro has announced that they'll be reissuing a couple OOP Baby Woodrose albums on limited vinyl on June 21: 2003's "Money for soul" and 2007's "Chasing rainbows". Both had original vinyl runs that are long gone, but this new batch will be 500 copies each on red.

Scraps of Tape have announced that Fredrik Gillhagen (Meleeh) has been added as a new permanent member, replacing Mikael Persson who left last fall. Keep an eye out for new tourdates this coming fall.
