Nasum may have ceased to be with the tragic death of Mieszko Talarczyk in 2004, but the band's recordings live on. Coming up later this year will be a live album recorded in Japan in 2004 as well as a split picture disc LP with Napalm Death. A stand-alone CD version of said LP will also be released via Relapse under the title "Doombringer" which will include the Mitch Harris-directed video for "Scoop" as bonus content.

Insurgent Kid reports that frontman Erik has left the band to concentrate on drum duties with Masshysteri, the new ex-Vicious band. Also, drummer Jonas is currently studying abroad in Beijing and playing with a local hardcore band there called Fanzui Xiangfa (Criminal Minds) that just put out an album and will be touring locally. Otherwise, the band has some material set aside for a potential 10" or 7" EP to be released via Ny Våg, but it's currently delayed. As for the future, the band plans to lay low for awhile until Jonas returns this summer.
Slideshaker has finally revealed that their next album has the working title of "Like stormy weather". Still no word yet on when they expect to be done, but I'll keep you posted.
