New stuff from Luxury
has announced that they will be releasing the new Almedal digital single "Du kan aldrig få mig hel" on November 3. They'll also be following that up with a new self-titled EP From Happy Hands Club on November 16 which will be available both as a digital download and as a 12" -- hear a sample tune above.
The return of Hederos & Hellberg
Hederos & Hellberg, the piano/vocals duo of Martin Hederos (The Soundtrack of Our Lives/Tonbruket) and Mattias Hellberg, will be getting back together for a tour this coming February in addition to releasing their 2003 farewell concert as a proper album. I can't remember if it was originally broadcast on P3 Live or what, but I do know that I have a quality bootleg of the show in my mp3 library and, yes, it is quite good.

Spoon Train allstars present Sunturns, the Christmas band
Members of the Norwegian indie acts Mylittlepony, The Little Hands of Asphalt, Monzano and Einar Stray are joining forces to record a Christmas album as the band Sunturns. Said album, which is simply titled "Christmas", will include new tunes, covers of songs from the various member's individual catalogs, as well as covers of Low's "Just like Christmas" and Swearing At Motorists' "Losing mine" and will be released on November 25 via .
NORCD to release Akku5 album
will be releasing a new album from Akku5 this winter, the folk trio of Akku (two vocalists plus tuba? no really) plus the addition of Knut Aalefjær on percussion and Polish sax player Grzech Piotrowski. Samples at the aforementioned link and really, it's worth hearing.

Nasum, the resurrection

10th annual P3 Guld details announced
The P3 Guld Awards will return to Liseberghallen in Göteborg for their 10th annual gala on January 21, 2012. Should you want to attend in-person as opposed to watching live via SVT1, tickets will be made available on October 28; as for the actual award nominees, they will be announced in early December.
New noise from Homemade Records
Noise-friendly Norwegian DIY label (Mindy Misty, Izakaya Heartbeat) will be releasing Øystein Kapperud's debut album "311/Amnesia" on November 4 as a double-LP, CD and/or digital download. The label has also announced the signing of noiserock act Burning Motherfuckers and will be releasing their debut EP in early 2012.
