Danish act Carpark North report that they've been hard at work recording their new album at their own, homebuilt Yderlandet Studios. Look for them to debut a few of 'em when they perform at the Denmark vs. Spain soccer game in Aarhus on October 13.

Ida Maria will be performing the song "I like you so much better when you're naked" at the upcoming Alarm Awards ceremony with a little help from Norwegian burlesque group The Fleshoticas. The event takes place October 27 at Centrum in Oslo.

Soak the Sin are taking what they are calling an "enforced break." They say, "Hopefully the problems our career is suffering from will eventually be resolved but for now our way forward is to take the step of standing down as a band from the music industry, recharge our batteries and take another look at the situation sometime in 08."

Swedish fuzzrockers Truckfighters will have their new album "Phi" released in the US on November 27 via Poison Tree Records. The US version will include the bonus track "Below the sun", replacing the Swedish bonus track "Slides".
