Finnish doom act Kypck will release their debut album "Cherno" on March 12 via UHO Production. Look for samples to be posted on myspace this weekend with an official release of the first single "1917" on January 23. The band features an ex-member of Sentenced as well as famed Finnish producer K. H. M. Hiilesmaa on drums, known for his work with big acts such as HIM, Lordi and Apocalyptica.

Swedish punkrockers The Accidents will be releasing a new EP via Italian label Nicotine Records. Details to come.

Norwegian act Rumble in Rhodos will be going into Athletic Sound Studio in Halden to begein recording a new album with producer Kai Andersen (Madrugada, Ricochets, Saint Thomas, etc.). Assuming all goes according to plan, expect an April 28 release via Black Balloon Records in Norway with an international release to follow soon thereafter. The band will tour Europe with fellow Norwegians Dominic starting in late March with homeland dates to follow in May.

Finnish act Negative will release the new 2DVD collection "In the eye of the hurricane" on January 26. The set includes a full live show filmed at Pakkahuone, Tampere in December 2006 plus three hours of other miscellaneous material including videos, interviews, photos and a backstage documentary. Finnish singer/songwriter Astrid Swan will release her sophomore album "Spartan picnic" on February 27. The first single "As long as it's not you" will be out soon.

Swedish metalcore act Burst will be going into the studio in April to work on a new album.

Swedish postrockers September Malevolence have finished recording their next album and are currently working on artwork. No word on a release date yet, but I'd say to expect something in spring.

Tingsek will perform his new single "Let it shine" at the Swedish Grammis tomorrow night. His new album will be out in April.

Danish label Hjernespind is working on new 7" releases from Danish punks Cola Freaks, War of Destruction (their first in 20! years) plus Umeå's Masshysteri, the band that rose from the ashes of The Vicious. There will also be a US press of that last one on Feral Ward.
