There's nothing of any substance posted so far, but it might be worth a quick browse anyhow.

The new Looptroop Rockers album "Good things" is now officially set for release on April 23.

Norwegian artist Egil Olsen (nee Uncle's Institution) has licensed his album "I am a singer/songwriter" to Lirico Records for release in Japan this coming spring. The new edition will feature an extra bonus track and new Japanese artwork.

Here's some headlines from Slagsmålsklubben in clever animated gif form: https://smk.ko2000.nu/flyer2008feb2.gif
Some highlights: parted ways with EMI (no big surprise), "Sponsored by destiny" single on 12" + digital in March and the new single "Hänt" will be out in late spring.

Tigerbombs sideproject King Of All The Animals will contribute the song "Angels fly low" to a new comp on UK label BabyBoom Records. As for the band's own forthcoming album, that's on track for late April/early May, but there's a few sample tunes up now at myspace: https://www.myspace.com/kingofalltheanimals

Swedish doom/drone act (and A Perfect Friend/Pacta sideproject) Ondo has a new 3" CD out on upstart label Tuguska: https://blog.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=blog.view&friendID=124662689&blogID=360369836

"Great Northern Recordings compilation nr. 3", the latest edition of the short-run comp series focusing on some of Sweden's best experimental indie acts, is confirmed for release on March 1. This new one features eight previously unreleased tracks from the bands Nei (members from Breach, Fireside, Brick, The End Will Be Kicks), Giant Boar (members from Seven Feet Four), White Knives (members from Skull Defekts, Cut City) and Happiness (members from Tar... Feathers, Fuglesang) and will be amazing, no doubt. Hand-numbered, 167 copies and yes, I'll definitely be getting a few for resale. Celebrate the release with Nei's debut show at Debaser Slussen in Stockholm on March 1.

Swedish electro act Audio Objekt has had the rug pulled out from under them with regards to their Swedish Kraftwerk cover "Modellen" ("The model") - see here for my original post on the subject. Anyhow, it seems that the publisher Sony ATV has decided to pull the plug without any explanation which means that the band has been forced to recall all CDs and remove the offending tracks from myspace, youtube and so forth. Of course it's still readily accessible via a quick Google search, but that would be wrong, amirite?

The new album "Black wave rising" from Finnish punkrockers I Walk the Line is finished and the track "Stigmatized" is now posted on myspace: https://www.myspace.com/iwtlfinland
It will be out in Finland on April 2 via Combat Rock Industry with international releases to follow later on in the year through a host of different license partners. The title track will also be released as a 7"/CD single on March 12 b/w the exclusive track "Lost chapter".
