Refused played/is playing a "secret" show at Scharinska in Umeå tonight alongside Hårda Tider and UX Vileheads. No doubt the internet will explode with pics and video tomorrow, if it hasn't already (along with many complaints from locals that couldn't get in).
Dolving leaves The Haunted
Vocalist Peter Dolving has parted ways with The Haunted. His statement in full:
I am officially quitting The Haunted. After years of working with the band, I am out. I have had it. I will NOT answer questions to why. It's no one elses business. Thank you very much. I am looking forward to seeing you people at other shows with other projects.

Ex-members of The Ark restart Stereo Explosion
Ex-The Ark members Martin Axén, Jepson, Leari Ljungberg and Jens Andersson have revived their long-dormant old band Stereo Explosion and have started working on new material together for the first time since 2000. Look for them to start playing live this summer.
New Moonface album to feature Siinai
Finnish act Siinai have recorded a new album in collaboration with Canadian artist Moonface, aka Spencer Krug (Wolf Parade, Sunset Rubdown). Darxtar to release new album in May via Transubstans
Swedish spacerockers Darxtar will be releasing their new album "Aged to perfection" on May 14 via , both on CD and vinyl. This will be their first release for the esteemed Malmö-based psych/hardrock specialist label and their 7th full-length release since founding the band back in 1989.
