I've been meaning to spend more time with Behexen - I keep seeing recommendations, but haven't had a chance to really dig in yet.
Pop Detective Records will be doing a US release the latest album "Whatever rhymes with baby" from Norwegian pop-punk act The Yum Yums. It will be out in late February and will include two live covers as bonus tracks; "New York City" by Cub and "Earthquake song" by The Little Girls. Also look for the band to tour the Northeast with labelmate/bandmate/fellow Norwegian artist Vibeke in late March.

Elin Ruth Sigvardsson will release her cover of the Lars Winnerbäck tune "Kom ihåg mig" as a digital single on February 2.
Finnish artists Kauko Röyhkä, Jussi Lehtisalo (Circle, Ektro Records) and Mika Rättö (Kuusumun Profeetta, Circle) have been collaborating on a project together and the fruits of their labor will see the light of day on February 18 in the form of the album "Hiekkarantaa" under the name Röyhkä ja Rättö ja Lehtisalo. The new Optic Nest cassette on Moptaco Dics is finally available. Says the label: "So folks, finally this release get a proper treatment! The new release by Optic Nest is somewhat of historical nature. Recorded entirely on the old Buchla 200 system at Ems, the swedish Elektric Muzic Ztudio. Well quite. For you nerds it's partially controlled by Serge Sequencer, with a single Serge Oscillator and through the Serge Analog Delay." Two tracks, 20 minutes each and limited to 50 numbered copies. Lake Heartbeat is Service Coop's latest signing. Dan Lissvik from Studio produced their new release which will be out this week.
The new Hiawata! single "Valley boys" will be given away as a free download along with b-side covers from fellow Norwegians Monzano, My Little Pony and Harrys Gym. The exact release date is still tba however.
