The Bombettes are working on writing material for their debut full-length which they hope to record in June. They also plan on doing a short tour in Sweden, Denmark and Germany come July, so keep an eye out for that as well.
Norwegian rockers Spirits of the Dead have started work on their second album with an eye towards a January release. Keep an eye out for their self-titled debut to get a wider release in Europe very soon.
Kranium Records reports that volume two of their "Fuck your scene, kid" split 7" series has been sent off for pressing. This one features Swedish hardcore acts Fredag den 13:e and Dobermann Cult and will be issued in a limited edition of 500 numbered copies on red vinyl.
"Swedish Death Metal" author Daniel Ekeroth has resigned from playing bass in Insision and will instead move out to the countryside to concentrate on his next writing project. Joel Andersson from Immersed In Blood will replace him.
Finnish melancholic doom act Ghost Brigade has confirmed that their sophomore album "Isolation songs" will be released on August 3 in Europe via Season of Mist. It will also be released in the US, but not until August 25.
Swedish postrock act Immanu El will be going into the studio with Kristian Karlsson (Pg.Lost, Last Days Of April, Eskju Divine, etc.) in mid-June to record their 2nd full-length album "Moen". Expect a release this coming fall via And the Sound Records preceded by a Northern European tour in late August.
The Swedish Model's Canadian delegation is putting together a party on June 5 at Salon Officiel in Montreal. Swedish acts Laserål and Ploctor will perform and, best of all, there will be complimentary beer and wine served between the hours of 8 and 11.
