Aerial signs to new Japanese label, preps 3rd album

Aerial has now signed with Flake Records for the Japanese release of their upcoming third album. No release date yet, but Swedish label Nomethod informs me that it's 95% mixed and on track for being mastered in mid-march.

New label: Hommage Records

Hommage Records is a new Norwegian label devoted to early 80s synth music and their first release is "maskindans", a 2CD comp exploring the roots of Norwegian postpunk. See their website for more detail: mmage.no/" target="_blank">https://www.hommage.no/
I'm pretty excited to hear this as is one of my absolute favorite genre timeperiods.

Drivan, featuring Kim Hiorthøy

Norwegian artist Kim Hiorthøy has a new band called Drivan that just finished recording an album for release on Smalltown Supersound. The group got together when Kim was asked to create music for a dance performance put on by Swedes Lisa Östberg, Louise Peterhoff and Kristiina Viiala and Kim enjoyed their vocalization so much, they decided to continue the collaboration. All of the lyrics are in Swedish and the music is described as "folky hip-hop loops meet marine Girls." No official release date yet, but I'll keep you posted.

The Fine Arts Showcase, Convoj to play IAT Clubnights

The next two It's a Trap! Clubnights are now confirmed! We'll be hosting The Fine Arts Showcase on march 21 for what might just be their record release party for "Dolophine smile". Who knows? The album is due out about that time (not in February as m/index.php?n=29137">I mistakenly reported before) so it could happen! And then on April 18 we've got Convoj! Awesome!
