Norwegian avant-metal act Fleurety promised new material m/?n=20834">long ago and now they've finally come through with the first in a series of planned vinyl releases: "Ingentes atque decorii vexilliferi apokalypsis", a limited 2-track 7" on Aesthetic Death Records featuring re-recordings of material from the early 90s. The a-side "Descent into darkness" first appeared on the band's 1993 demo "Black snow" and the new take features guest musicians Hellhammer and Necrobutcher from mayhem as well as vocals from Runhild Gammelsæter (Thorr's Hammer, Khlyst). As for the flip, we have "Absence", a song that was originally recorded for the "Blackend Vol. 1" compilation in 1995 which appears now with Plenum (Virus, Audiopain) on bass and Bjeima (Delirium Bound, Swarms) on drums. Dødpop, repping Norwegian Skweee worldwide. It's still a mostly instrumental sound, but up and comers are pushing the sound into new territories, new regions. Guest rhymes from Sadat X of Brand Nubian? Hell yeah, take it international; mix up the old-school and the new. I love the beat on this track, it's so sparse, dirty and slow. Sweden and Finland are still the big brothers of the scene, but Norway is pushing hard.
Hedmark - Put the world on it (feat. Sadat X + Twan)
