Swedish jazz/world music label is expanding their repertoire a bit by releasing the new Elias Krantz album "Night ice" on may 23. Says the label: "While listening to his new album you might be reminded of Krautrock legends such as NEU! and Can, as well as modern post-rock in the vein of Tortoise, Four Tet and Caribou, but obviously Elias has a very personal and unique musical language." Danish rockers On Trial will be calling it quits after 25+ years with a final show at Loppen in CPH on June 3. They'll also be doing one final release, a 2x7" on featuring four tunes, two from an aborted album session and two that will end up being the band's final statement. Said release will be packaged in a gatefold hand-screened sleeve and will be limited to a one-time-only pressing of 500 copies.
