New Elias Krantz album coming via Country & Eastern
Swedish jazz/world music label is expanding their repertoire a bit by releasing the new Elias Krantz album "Night ice" on may 23. Says the label: "While listening to his new album you might be reminded of Krautrock legends such as NEU! and Can, as well as modern post-rock in the vein of Tortoise, Four Tet and Caribou, but obviously Elias has a very personal and unique musical language." Elias' previous record "Island rock" was released by postrock specialists back in 2007.

On Trial bows out
Danish rockers On Trial will be calling it quits after 25+ years with a final show at Loppen in CPH on June 3. They'll also be doing one final release, a 2x7" on featuring four tunes, two from an aborted album session and two that will end up being the band's final statement. Said release will be packaged in a gatefold hand-screened sleeve and will be limited to a one-time-only pressing of 500 copies.
