The Kongelige Teater in Köpenhamn, Denmark will be using music from Sweden's Silverbullit in an upcoming ballet production entitled "To die for" which will premiere on October 8. It's not quite as awesome as Entombed's "Unreal estate" ImO, but still very cool.

The latest from Satyricon:
"Sorry for not keeping touch lately, but we've been busy working! We are in middle of pre-production for our new album and we will start recording October 17th in Puk Studio in Denmark where we did most of "Volcano". We aim to finish the album in January followed by a late spring release. This means we should be ready to do a big festival run throughout the summer and hit the clubs in the fall. Things change and they can change fast too in this industry, but this is what we plan to do as it looks now. We'll keep you posted about this and other projects we are working on too, throughout the fall."

I got a copy of this record last week and have been really diggin' it quite a bit more than I expected. Glitchy techno with enough pop melody to gain more widespread appeal. Perhaps I'll even post a track myself eventually.

Jezebel Recording's upcoming post-rock 7" collection "A trilogy of dreams noise and silence" will release one record each from Ef, molia Falls and the previously mentioned Scraps of Tape. They should be out in October/November.
As announced yesterday, it's demo week here at It's a trap! and today's featured artist is Pello Revolvers. The band plays indierock with a strong traditional folk influence. Think a Northern European version of The Pogues mixed with a bit of The Clash. The can definitely hear the latter's influence on the song I've posted today. The group's latest EP "No spare tyres" was released just a few months ago and you can hear a couple more tracks at m/" target=_blank>the band's website or myspace.com/pellorevolvers/" target=_blank>their myspace page. I'm a big fan of bands that inject new life into old roots music and these guys are a perfect example.
