Lo-fi finnish act Red Carpet will release their second album, tentatively titled "The noise of Red Carpet" on September 28 via the always-trustworthy label If Society.

finnish psych-folk weirdos Lau Nau, Hertta Lussu Assä, Pekko Käppi, Tomutonttu, Taikuri Tali, Islaja and Kuupuu will be playing the US together alongside American acts The Skaters and Davenport as part of the "Voyages on Vinlandia" tour. Here's the dates so far:

"No fear" has been chosen as the lead single off the forthcoming album "Hide from the sun" from finnish overproduced goth-pop sensation The Rasmus. A video will be shot in Germany with director Jörn Heitmann whose credits include the last three Rammstein videos. The single comes out August 29 and the album follows on September 12.

Music Export Finland (MUSEX) and the finnish Music Information Centre (FIMIC) has issued a 3xCD intro to finnish music entitled "What about Finland", each disc covering a different genre: one for nujazz/electronica, one for pop/rock and one for metal/hardrock.
