New Frivolvol in spring

finnish hardcore act Frivolvol has a new album in the works for release sometime around March or April. Their last album "Who needs maps when we got time?" was one of the most brutally negative records I've heard in a long time, so of course I'm really looking forward to what they do next.

finnish shoegazers Murmansk have confirmed that their sophomore album "Eleven eyes to shade" has been given a May 6 release date by Ranch/Spinefarm Records.

Rusto-Osiris to rerelease Hebosagil debut

finnish doom/crust/metal masters Hebosagil will have their excellent debut EP "Cosmic" reissued in a fancy digipack format on February 18 by Rusto-Osiris.

Niko Skorpio - Psilocybe necrophila

finnish dark ambient/industrial artist Niko Skorpio's has revealed that his next album "Psilocybe necrophila" is ready for preorder/download: https://www.someplaceelse.net/releases/?id=spe052
To create the recording Niko chopped up his old tape collection from the 80s and reassembled the various metal demos, boots and so on into a new composition that was then "captured, processed and reconstructed, over and over until a new form began to take shape."

New Finnish supergroup: Röyhkä ja Rättö ja Lehtisalo

finnish artists Kauko Röyhkä, Jussi Lehtisalo (Circle, Ektro Records) and Mika Rättö (Kuusumun Profeetta, Circle) have been collaborating on a project together and the fruits of their labor will see the light of day on February 18 in the form of the album "Hiekkarantaa" under the name Röyhkä ja Rättö ja Lehtisalo.
