Despotz Records has announced the signing of excellent finnish act Pintandwefall. I don't have any more details beyond that, but I'll keep you posted. I was actually just listening to them yesterday and thinking about how much I really like their latest album "Hong Kong, baby" -- it hasn't left my mp3 player in many months (that's rare).

Peaceville has signed finnish death metal/prog act Barren Earth and will be releasing their debut EP in November with a full-length to follow in 2010. The band consists of ex-members from Amorphis plus current members of bands such as Swallow the Sun and Moonsorrow.
