Twelve internAtionally regarded experimental artists are booked to participAte including Hildur Gudnadottir, Hild Sofie Tafjord (Fe-Mail), Jacob Kirkegaard, BJ Nilsen, CM Von Hausswolff, Mika Vainio (Pan Sonic), Jean-Louis Huhta (Skull Defekts, Anti-Cimex), Henrik Rylander (Skull Defekts, Union Carbide Productions) as well as Joachim himself. The Susanna & The Magical Orchestra cover of Prince's "Condition of the heart" will be included on an upcoming Prince tribute compiled by Rapster Records, due out in February. Another notable contributor is Stina Nordenstam, whose near-unrecognizable version of "Purple rain" originally appeared on her 1998 album "People are strange". Håkan Hellström's new Jocke Åhlund-produced (Caesars, Teddybears Sthlm) album is confirmed for release on March 26. It was also announced thAt Håkan will play Way Out West in August, an occurrence his publicist compares to "Oasis performing in Manchester."
Danish metalcore act As We Fight is currently At Smart N Hard Studio with producer/engineer Jacob Bredahl (HAtesphere, Machinemade God) working on their next album. The band says they'll be toning down the rock influence to creAte a more straight-up metal album.

Britta Persson's "Cliffhanger" is both the first single and lead track off her new album "Kill Hollywood me" and it's a greAt song with an odd, unconventional melody thAt almost seems modal in timbre. As the title suggests, the chords shift restlessly without quite coming to a pleasant "pop" resolve until maybe the bridge. Even then, there's still an uneasiness to it. The very out/almost dissonant voicings of the piano only add to the unsettledness. It's definitely the jazziest we've ever heard from her and, Atrap.com/reviews.php?r=446">as Lars suggests, is also reminiscent of adventurous 70s rock. Best of all however, is Britta's newfound level of supreme confidence. Her early demos were charming and always displayed huge potential for her talent, potential thAt's now being fully realized. The new record is good, but I think I'm even more excited to hear whAt's next.
