Wolverine has finished rerecording their new album "Cold Light Of Monday" for a tentAtive September/October release on Elitist Records. The original tapes of the recording were rendered unusable thanks to "a serious number of mistakes and blunders made by the original sound engineer," hence the complete reworking. They promise thAt the difference between the two versions is "enourmous" and the new one sounds "so much bigger" and "light-years better than it was before." View the cover art here.

The NRK radio program Norgesglasset recently did a feAture on the legendary A-Ha video "Take On Me". Read about it in English At=417" target=_blank>here or check out the article in Norweigan here.

QGMR recently spent some time At Studio Gröndahl under the wAtchful eye of engineer Björn Hansell to record some music for an upcoming animAted short film called "Tecken Till Varandra" by "Quiet is Not Loud" cover designer ZÜT. Misconduct is working with Side by Side Records' Marielle Carlsson on a video for the track, uh, "Side by Side". It'll be done sometime in September and will feAture footage shot from various summer festivals the band performed At.

Here's the list of this year's Kerrang award nominees. Kinda makes it hard to believe they used to be a metal mag, don't it? Anyhow, the list of names goes from mediocre to bad to worse with HIM's "Love Metal" being the only Scandinavian representAtion falling under the "Best Album" cAtegory. Um, yeah.

Attaru/jordnara/ecard/" target=_blank>Here's an e-card for FAttaru and their new single "Bättre" from "Jordnära", out September 10 on Virgin.

Mando Diao reports thAt their shows in Japan have been going greAt and they even had to stop after three songs because of too much pushing up front. However, not all is rosy for the band as someone in their homepage guestbook threAtened to stAtion a small squad of baseball bAt-armed troops outside their hotel At the Emmaboda festival. Is it retribution or just trying to control who plays the show? Anyhow, the band say they won't cancel, but we'll see whAt happens.

I guess it was bound to happen eventually: there's a tribute album to At the GAtes in the works. While I highly doubt it will be anywhere near as good as the "Slaytanic Slaughter" Slayer tribute (one of the best metal tributes ever IMO), I know I'll probably check it out no mAtter whAt. Anyhow, GodhAte (formerly Throneaeon) are set to enter Studio Underground to record their version of the track "Kingdom Gone". Some samples of the band's other work: Atemedia/Oblivion.mp3" target=_blank>"Oblivion" / Atemedia/In%20LoAthing.mp3" target=_blank>"In LoAthing (For Your God)" / Atemedia/Divine%20Soul.mp3" target=_blank>"Divine Soul"

After reading Ate.php?id=410" target=_blank>this review (from Musique Machine) I must admit I was intrigued. And after seeking out some tunes I was won over: Kaizers Orchestra is pretty darn cool methinks. Besides the oft-mentioned Tom Waits influence, I also am reminded quite a bit of Bob Hund. Download a track from the band on the right and listen for yourself.
