Entombed has finally updated their website with the winner of their design-a-beer-label contest from way back in December. 'Bout time, eh? You can check out the winning design here. And they've also announced a new contest: design a splash page for the band's site. Here's the full details (scroll down). And they've also added a neat alarm clock doohickey that you can download. The alarm function plays various tunes from the latest album "Inferno" and also has a bunch of pics to choose from for a background along with website links and more.

Here's the transcript of a chat with Bob Hund from Aftonbladet (in Swedish). They talk about a number of things including the band's upcoming plans and the release of English language side-project Bergman Rock's long awaited album.
Check out Danish band Illdisposed's cover of the At the Gates classic "Slaughter of the Soul" right here. The track will be released on an ATG tribute comp due out this fall from Drowned Scream Records. If the rest of the contributions are this mediocre, I will be quite disappointed. Why pay tribute to such an amazing band with what barely amounts to karaoke?
Check out two videos from recent Nuclear Blast signees Deathstar:
01. Synthetic Generation
02. Syndrome
The band was previously known as Swordmaster and features ex-Dissection drummer Ole Öhman as well as Dissection frontman (and black-metal cult figure/convicted felon) Jon Nödtveidt's brother Emil on guitar. Their debut album "Synthetic Generation", originally released on LED Recordings in 2002, will be reissued by Nuclear Blast on November 10.

Check out a demo mp3 of the track "Norweigan Lovesong" from the group Leaves' Eyes right here. As mentioned before, Leaves' Eyes is the new band of ex-Theatre of Tragedy singer Liv Kristine Espenaes Krull, who was unceremoniously booted from ToT just last week.

Go here to listen to samples from the new "Bip Hop Generation" compilation, featuring contributions from Ilpo Vaisänen (half of Pan Sonic) and Angel, a collaboration between Ilpo and German artist Dirk Dresselhaus aka Schneider TM.
I dunno why I neglected to post it earlier, but besides the "Ready Mades" EP with those Reverend Big O covers of The Bear Quartet, the band will also be releasing the album "Songs To Kill Your Lovers By" on October 1 through A West Side Fabrication. It was produced and mixed by Manne v. Ahn Öberg, whose previous credits include acts such as Stina Nordemstam, Nicolai Dunger, and Mercury Rev.
