Swedish "supergroup" Les Big Byrd has a new 7" called "Zig smile" coming out via as a Record Store Day exclusive. I'm not sure what songs are on it or anything, but it's limited to 300 copies.
It appears that will have two final releases before they call it quits. I'm not sure what the 2nd is, but the first will be Ghost Flute & Dice, a solo instrumental project from pianist Mikkel Almholt, a prolific Danish scene veteran. Swedish jazz/world music label is expanding their repertoire a bit by releasing the new Elias Krantz album "Night ice" on May 23. Says the label: "While listening to his new album you might be reminded of Krautrock legends such as NEU! and Can, as well as modern post-rock in the vein of Tortoise, Four Tet and Caribou, but obviously Elias has a very personal and unique musical language." Elias' previous record "Island rock" was released by postrock specialists back in 2007.
