Listenable Records will be putting out a five song EP of previously unreleased Soilwork material that was recorded during the "Steelbath Suicide" and "Chainheart Machine" sessions. I wonder how the band feels about this and if they approve, since this is totally the sort of thing that smells like a label trying to cash in. Anyhow, here's the tracklist:

Via Supertanker comes word that Denmark's Under Byen are set to make their first US appearance at the CMJ Music Marathon in NYC on October 22 and 23rd at Tonic and the Hilton Hotel respectively. There's also plans for a German tour in the works, but so far the only show they have there is this Saturday at Schauspielhaus in Hamburg.
Sweden's Lake of Teats has signed with Noise Records. The label's statement:
"The original line-up has come together again to prove that they're still one of the most impressive bands in the modern metal scene. Recordings for the next album are scheduled for early 2004."
Arch Enemy has lined up the following UK dates in December:

Kaizers Orchestra has announced the addition of double bassist Øyvind Storesund as a replacement for the departing Jon Sjøen who decided he'd rather spend more time with his family. Øyvind has already played live with the group on numerous occasions this past summer and has played with other bands such as Wunderkammer, The Frode Gjerstad Trio, Kaada and Cloroform.
Swedish synthpop group Paris will now release their debut album "Yellow Eden" on Ocotober 29, as opposed to the previously reported date of October 15. The band will playing acoustically and signing records that day at Pet Sounds and will be playing a special release party at Kägelbanan in Stockholm. The first single ""Rainy Day in London" comes out October 22 on both CD and as a split 7" with Disco Fever who will provide remixes.
Grimfist (feat. ex-Immortal drummer Horgh) has been added to the lineup of the 'Blackest of the Black' show put on by headliner Danzig at The Forum in London on November 22. Other acts on the bill include Marduk (SWE), Zyklon (NOR), Orange Goblin (UK) and Meldrum (SWE).
Sparks of Seven has rescheduled the release party for their new album "Album No. 1" for October 16 at Stars and Bars in Järntorget.
