Some news from Smalltown Superjazzz:
2006 will be a busy year for Smalltown Superjazzz with lots of great releases in the pipeline. There will be a brand new studio album by The Thing recorded in Atlantis Studios in Stocholm, Sweden. We also hope to release the reissues of the two first The Thing albums in 2006. We will release the longawaited studio album by Two Bands And A Legend (Cato Salsa Exp, The Thing and Joe McPhee), as well as a duo EP with Mats Gustafsson and Paal Nilssen-Love. Nilssen-Love and Ken Vandermark will also follow up their two Dual Pleasure albums. Mats Gustafsson will release both a solo album, titled "Contra songs", as well as a duo album with the great Yoshimi of the Boredoms. In February we will release Diskaholics Anonymous Trio which is the trio of Thurston Moore, Jim O`Rourke and Mats Gustafsson.
Opeth will return to the US in February and here's what's been confirmed so far:

Sublime Exile will be sending both The Beatitude and The Fakes into the studio in January, the former with Swedish producer Micke Herrström and the latter with Robbie Rowlands. Look for the The Fakes' "Storm in a tea cup" EP to be released on January 30.
