Beläten September sampler

A preview of Swedish experimental/industrial/avant pop label 's lineup for September which includes new cassettes from Ekman (NL), Imiafan (SK), and Militær Enhed (?).

Beläten has a new website

The excellent Swedish "post avant garde pop" label , run by Thomas Ekelund of Trepaneringsritualen/Soma Sema, has a nice new website where you can stream/purchase all of their releases thus far: https://www.belaten.se/
Always nice to see a well-made website with multimedia content that doesn't necessarily rely on Flash.

Secret Thirteen mix: Thomas Ekelund

Thomas Ekelund of Trepaneringsritualen/Dead Letters Spell Out Dead Words/ created a mix for the website Secret Thirteen featuring a bunch of stuff from his own label and back-catalog as well as a nice selection of quality industrial/darkwave/postpunk: https://secretthirteen.org/secret-thirteen-mix-023-dead-letters-spell-out-dead-words/

Invisible Guy interviews Beläten

Invisible Guy has posted a nice and long, extensive interview with artist/musician Thomas Ekelund about his new label enterprise (and more): https://invisibleguy.wordpress.com/2012/06/08/interview-with-thomas-from-belaten/

Beläten presents "A Somatic Response"

Swedish apocalyptic/avantgarde art/music label is putting out a new cassette compilation curated by synth duo Soma Sema featuring 50 minutes of "cold synthetic pop, troubled industrial funk and dada rants" including new and exclusive tracks from artists such as Blitzkrieg Baby, Television Set, Nimam Spregleda, Makina Girgir, Kord, Lust for Youth and more. Look for a full-length preview this Friday with orders being taken Monday, June 4. And since I've already been privy to hearing the entire thing, I can say with authority that it's well worth checking out.

The gates of Beläten are open

As promised, the doors of new Swedish avant-pop/darkness label have been thrown open and their first three releases are now available for ordering + streaming via Bandcamp: https://belaten.bandcamp.com/
I recommend starting with Michael Idehall's album "SOL".
